Heat, pressure and electricity

Espresso machines can produce scalding water and steam. Use handles and controls as intended, keep the appliance stable and stop using equipment that leaks near electrical parts, trips protection devices or smells burned.

Daily precautions

  • Keep children away from hot surfaces, steam wands and cords.
  • Direct purges into the drip tray.
  • Do not remove a portafilter while the group is pressurized.
  • Unplug before approved external cleaning near moving grinder parts.
  • Let equipment cool before handling removable hot parts.

Service boundaries

Internal boilers, wiring, thermal cut-outs and pressure controls require qualified service unless the manufacturer provides a specific user procedure.

Use only electrical products with certification accepted by the local authority. Never defeat grounding, interlocks, fuses or pressure relief devices.
