They produce different coffee

A moka pot uses steam pressure to move water through coffee but does not operate like a pump espresso machine. It makes concentrated brewed coffee rather than café-style espresso.

Who each suits

Choose a moka pot for low-cost, compact strong coffee. Choose an espresso machine when espresso texture, controlled shots and integrated steaming matter.

Follow moka-pot fill and safety instructions. Do not tamp coffee in a moka basket unless its manufacturer explicitly directs it.
