Use events, not only calendar dates

A household making eight milk drinks a day needs a different schedule from one making two espressos on weekends. Track drinks, water hardness, filter life and visible residue.

Typical planning categories

FrequencyExamples
After each useSteam-wand wipe, puck removal, basket rinse
DailyDrip tray, group wipe, water check
WeeklyWash removable parts, inspect gasket and shower screen
PeriodicDetergent cycle, filter replacement, grinder cleaning
As specifiedDescaling and professional service

Keep a simple record

A dated checklist prevents uncertainty about filters and cleaning tablets. Record unusual leaks, noises, warm-up changes or pressure behaviour for service conversations.

The manual’s schedule overrides generic advice. Do not open pressurized or electrically energized equipment.
